This softbox is a step up in size from the Profoto RFi 2×3 ft. softbox. This is a great size for ¾ to full portraits. It is still not too big as to be unmanageable and it produces a beautiful soft light. This would be the preferred “Medium” size for most portrait and commercial photographers. The larger the light source is in relation to the subject, the softer the light will be. This is why Profoto makes rectangular softboxes in five different sizes. Profoto’s softboxes are designed to be a little deeper, allowing the light to bounce around a little for a more even light.
