We’ve got another found film roll (or two!)
Our friend, Bruce, has been kindly developing a lot of our found C41 rolls in black and white chemistry (for sake of cost and ease) but was finding that a lot of the older expired c41 rolls were coming out very opaque. Here’s a few from one found roll of 120 film…
And a few from a different roll…
With an interest in getting a better negative, Bruce tried another sample roll of his own with a few changes to his process. Here’s what he had to say about it…
“So I was getting perturbed. All the C41 I was doing were coming out very opaque, and not lovely. Was it me? Probably! I decided to do a test. I took a roll of (slightly) outdated Fuji 400 C41 and ran it thru a camera today (while waiting for my laundry to dry). I went back to the web and followed the advice of someone who seemed to make it work. Rodinal 1:25 6 min 20deg. All I’ve done to these is crop.”
