Every year, Beau Photo teams up with the Langara full time photography program along with Canon Canada, Nikon Canada & Sony Canada. We loan out some high end gear to give the students a taste of what wildlife photography is like with super-telephoto lenses and spend a few hours walking around the sanctuary photographing birds and any other critters we happen to see. This year, our little field trip was on Wednesday, April 19, which started out a bit wet with some rain, but it wasn’t too bad, and the birds seemed bolder as quite a few ducks and songbirds followed us hoping for a handout! A mink also peeked out of the grass, wondering what all the humans were doing! Of course, the skies got lighter and the sun came out just as we were leaving! A good time was had by all!
All photos below were taken with a Nikon Z9 mirrorless camera with a Nikon 400mm f2.8 VR lens.
