This adapter will even let you attach the newer Nikon AF-S G mount lenses and control their aperture using a lever on the adapter, calibrated in full-stop increments. It also includes an integral tripod foot with an Arca-Swiss compatible dovetail, so you can attach it directly to many different brands of tripod head, such as Arca Swiss (of course!), FotoPro, Sirui, as well as some Manfrotto and Gitzo heads too. If you aren’t using large lenses, the tripod foot can also be removed from the adapter to make it more compact.

Usage Tips: Before mounting your Nikon lens to the Metabones adaptor, please make sure that the aperture control ring on the adaptor is turned to “7”. Only attach the lens with the control in that position, otherwise you may not have aperture control and you even risk potentially damaging the lens or the adapter!
Note that you will not have auto-focus, nor will you have auto aperture control, so the lens needs to be stopped down to the working aperture before you shoot, using either the aperture ring on the lens (if it has one) or the aperture control ring on the adapter.
With Nikon’s newest AF-S ‘E’ lenses, the adapter will offer no aperture control at all, since their aperture is fully electronic and there is no mechanical aperture stop-down lever at all.
