DESCRIPTION:November 9th – January 14th\, 2023\nOpening Reception November 24th 4pm-7pm\n  \nPhotography by Hans Sipma\nAn exhibition of some of Vancouver’s most famous\, and least known bands from the 70’s and 80’s\nHans Sipma began photographing musicians in the 1970’s\, often in a borrowed department store studio (first The Bay\, later Eaton’s) where by day\, he shot everything from fashion to furniture. His after-hours work brought him to the attention of Vancouver talent agents like Bruce Allen and Sam Feldman\, and through them\, to soon-to-be legends like Bryan Adams\, Doug & the Slugs and Trooper. The budgets were small\, the hair was big\, and digital didn’t exist\, so “making it work” took a lot of late nights and a lot of ingenuity. Hans hopes you enjoy this look back at the boys in the bands – some famous\, some forgotten\, all part of Vancouver music history.
